Weld a lump of metal to the pedal itself with a hole drilled where it needs to be. It can always be cut off again later.
Don't know what the material the rod is made from bit i can't arc weld it, won't stick. Feels like some kind of alloy

That means pulling the pedal box out!
Am in the process of making an adjustable pushrod
Adjustable push rod does make it feel better, brings the pedal up to its stop, but master cylinder bottoms out a few mm from the floor. Think i can live with it for now

I wondered if it might bottom out in the m/c....
Been a while since I've looked inside one so don't recall if bottoming out with a bit of force might do any damage.
May be an idea to improvise a stop by sticking something on the bottom/front of the pedal.
