    When looking at the ratios the 5S in 1s, 2s and 3s compare closely with an LT85/1.222 LT230 in 1, 2, and 3 you'd then go to 4th natural which is marginally lower than the 4th in LT85 and 5th natural marginally higher 2300rpm at 110 kph (LT85 2400 at 110)

    The one drawback is that 4S and 5 natural are almost identical so I guess it will be a case of seeing what works best. I'm assuming the normal use would be 1S-2S-3S-4-5-5S and then use 5S-4S to maintain roadspeed

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    So .762 is the splitter ratio?
    I would be going tge 1.22 as well.
    I have changed mine to a 5R box with a 1.192 tcase, i am much happier with this over the 5G and 1.003 and 1.22.

    Thats a fair bit different to mine Sheldon, is that due to the splitter? Also why just a hex head bolt in the shaft?

    Yes different with splitter. This setup pushes the transfer case back 90mm from standard.

    Vern, yours is recessed cap head primary to use a standard length bolt. No necessary on this shorter shaft.

    i'm about to take the plunge and replace the LT95 in my 6x6 camper so will be having a read through the many pages here.

    Given the PTO drive off the LT95 transfer I will be going the route of Keith and chopping the TC section off an LT95. Sheldon, will much of your kit be applicable to the MSA / LT95 hybrid box?

    Also does anyone have a dead LT95 I can grab so I dont have to butcher my recently rebuilt LT95 or take the car off the road whilst I figure things out.

    Lastly, anyone know of a good source for an Isuzu box?

    (this is kind of a repeat of a post I just made on a thread Keith started specifically about the MSA /95 combo but I thought it might get more visibility here)

    Dave, re your queries, you also might try Sheldon on his ebay number 0488474020, and I believe he has Isuzu boxes (and of course continue to post your progress for our entertainment).

    Are these still on going or stopped I'm seriously looking at getting rid of my tired r380 and 300tdi and fitting the Isuzu combo to my defender
