Cool, as long as you're sure. The third edition ADR's apply to the 93, while the second edition ADR's apply for the 80. As long as nothing changed as far as the body goes in the third edition, then you should be right. I would be a bummer to swap the bodies and have it knocked back for rego. Good luck with it.

Modern diesels use a throttle for Egr control and soft shutdown.

And there's fuel lines running to injectors on the second pic, not leads running to spark plugs.. Must admit that I've never seen a throttle body on a diesel like that before either. You learn something new every day.

Had a good look at the Rangie tonight.

Very solid relatively std 80 model.
Tjm winch bar, suits my job
    Lra flares
    Rear step with swc
Gas and 350 Holley . Gas will be removed.

Have thanks to members a b pillar back cage and a snorkel.

Coat of paint and a tidy up for rego.
    Then start the process

I'm surprised no-one has tried to shove one of these into a classic yet:

2012 Ford Territory Wagon Wrecking V6 Diesel Engine Gear BOX ZF 6 Speed | eBay

tons of poke .... available in land rover/citroen/peugeot/ford .... so should be readily available.

    Will stick with v8 since I have a 93 3.9 donor car.

The motor I would fit is 3.2 5cyl from my Bt50.

    But too much work...

Know of one in a puma not sure if running yet
