That's the area she'll be in, Ian. Can't remember the name of the place she'll be at, but I remember on the map she showed us, it was in that general area.

I had a job interview for one of two job vacancies with the same organisation yesterday at 1:00 pm. I found out today that I had missed out on both opportunities.

Originally back in early February I applied for a job with the organisation and had two interviews for the role. I was then offered the job informally - dependent upon my three referees. One referee was contacted then did not hear from the organisation for over a week. Then I received a telephone call where they decided they wanted to upgrade the role to a senior one and I had to reapply all over again. I did so and the interview was yesterday.

Within 30 minutes of being told I was unsuccessful I found at least 5 jobs on the internet that are within my skill set to apply for.

    When one door closes...

Your name has "Gee" after it. Is that your surname??? I was friends with Dr. Richard Gee, a GP, down in Sydney. He studied at uni in Brisbane.

Sorry to hear of your problems.

The concerns with Karen are the new tablets she is on, She doesn't have anything that they are for , There a cancer treatment with bad side effects & we don't know why he has put her on them.these tablets are to replace the steroids which she is weening off now but will take 5 to 6 weeks to do. She has put some weight back on which im glad for though Karen doesn't like it.The new tablets cause week bones which isn't good for Karen as she only has to trip over her own feet & breaks an ankle easy cause of her past dancing. They also cause appertite lose hair lose & that has started for Karen she is loosing lots of hair everyday way way more then normal.he has to have 3 more blood tests she is going to try get one done tomorrow while she is down the road as she has a doctors appointment for me .

I would want a firm diagnosis of cancer before I used pills like those. If it is liver cancer it is very serious. Fell free to talk to me about things.

The medication I am on is getting so hard to get & we have brought up everything we could in Newcastle & lake Macquarie , It took us weeks & weeks to deside & agree to these tablets as most of the drugs for Agoraphobia are very strong & have bad side effects & very addictive so the appointment is to see what we mite be able to change to ..Karen is also still getting very tired & sleeps for about 3 hours a day of an afternoon.. She wont take time off work at all.. She only has to be out for an hour shopping & is buggered. She has had today & tomorrow off as todays job the people are full up with the flue & tomorrow the lady had a cleaning frenzy on Sunday cause she was bored..The tablets are called Puri-nethol that Karen is on..

Ive just realised why I have all the adds & popups I haven't renewed my subscription .. I also have been on face page a fair bit as I am apart of the addmin for a site & page called Prepared Planet its a prepers site , Im not really a preper but I like the way of life as some of the things they do can be put into practice around the house in everyday. Im on there for the survival part & bush craft.. Anyone else here on face page other then young Tony with all his pics of the young ladies he hangs with .

[COLOR="Blue"]On my face book page people put posts from [Prepper pages. You are welcome to drop in to my page any time./COLOR]

Other then that not much is going on here. Oh Karen is taking her new tablets with her tomorrow to ask our doctor what the hell there for..
I know im starting to get tired with fred starting at 5.30 most mornings we wake with her elephatites through the house at 4.30 then up to get Cody up & ready so he can get a lift with Karen to school as he starts at 8 a fair bit .. Then its washing & doing all sorts through the day then getting T.. Im saving to buy a Hennesy Hammock The experdition zip asym..Oh & a warm sleeping bag Then I mite have a nice quiet nite out the back ..

As for Harry I haven't done anything other then strip one of the new fender doors . I really need to get those front brackets which ive pretty much given up on as ive asked a few people on here that mite be able to help only to never hear from them .

The kids are still KIDS driving me insane .

Isnt that what Kids are for.

I fixed the roof on the shed today as it leaked where the flu went through. Should be all good now . Probably find out tonight with the predicted rain..

The lump on Karens leg from the accident is still there & still tender also still has a very sore left shoulder.

Back on Boxing day 1990, just before Dawn, I rolled our uninsured VW Kombi Dual Cab ute after a front tyre blowout-- had been driving all night with a overfull 6X11 foot box trailer behind it, with the VW Dual Cab also completely full, as that was when we moved from Sydney to where we now Live. After the Rollover our young kids [one year old girl and three years old boy], were buried under a pile of blankets and blood was sprayed all over the back of the car. I thought the Kids were dead, but after about a minute both started to cry. The blood was our unopened Watermelon which ended up over the VW.

Police said that we all should have been killed, but all of us walked away, an answer to Prayer. Wife and kids were taken to hopital, but were okay when checked and discharged 2 hours later.

My wife had a couple of very tender sore lumps on her leg that took a year to heal, so do not let Karen worry about those lumps-- if they are from that accident,

She also has new glasses as she had to have them tested again & now the left eye had to be bumped up 2 stages so they getting pretty thick. She found a realy nice dear pair of Alex perry glasses in the carpark down the road so she took them with her & had her new lenses fitted to them..Finders Keepers she said.

Hey Jim I asked the Kids about that bus on Mile road last Saturday they haven't heard anything either so they a really keeping it hush hush..We usualy hear just about everything that goes on around here.. Also jim if you get the time could you post a pic of that book Times Past..

    Well I think that's everything...

Pop058 (Paul) and I did a clandestine trip to Murgon. The trip there involved an empty car trailer being towed behind Paul's Disco. The trip back to Bundaberg involved a loaded car trailer being towed behind Paul's Disco. More details when it is domestically safe to do so!

I was able to set some priorities during the trip and figured that I will:
    1) At my visit to the Ophthalmologist this afternoon I will get the verdict on what options I have to get my eyes sorted out. Namely, new specialist contact lenses or not; No my eyes have gone too far to be able to see through a pair of glasses.
    2) Get on the road to being fully sighted again;
    3) Knuckle down and finish the PhD; My Principal Supervising Professor stated that I was closer to finishing than I thought I was - When I can see again.
    4) Look for work straight after the PhD dissertation is placed into the hands of the Examiners.
    5) Get one of my Land Rovers on the road - legally registered.

Two famers met at a Clearing Sale, and one asked "Jack how is your son going?" The other replied "He is at uni doing his BS."
Ian answered "What is a BS" as he scraped a cow pat of his boot.
Jack, looking at the cow pat said, well all us famers do all know what BS is.

A few years later they met again, Ian asked "how is your son going."
Jack replied He is now studying for his MS. Ian asked what is that? and Jack Drawled, "MORE OF THE SAME, I guess."

Several years later they met again and Ian asked "How is your son," and Jack replied, "He is now studying his PHD."
Ian asked what is that and Jack replied "PILED HIGHER AND DEEPER."

Lionel, Good luck with your PHD.

    Hello JohnF,

I get the "gee" part of my AULRO user-name by extending the first letter of my middle name. My name in full is, Lionel Glenn Evans. My attaching the Doctor or Dr. bit on the front of my name and some more letters after it will happen later on this year.

Yep, I seem to have written the last six words in the above sentence for more than a couple of years now. I will get there one day.

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

Eyes & things that go "Hiss"

    Hello All,

I went to see the Ophthalmologist on Monday afternoon. I was informed my eyes had improved and I could wear my contact lenses again - as long as did not overdo things and they started to rub again. I wore them on Tuesday okay. Then after a while wearing them again on Wednesday my eyes spat them out. Looks like - no pun intended I will have to limit wearing them to when I have to drive somewhere in town and take them out soon as I get home. It is really good to be able to be independent again and drive myself to appointments though

I am starting to sort out getting the new lenses and the first trip to Brisbane for a fitting. It certainly makes you appreciate being able to see properly.

I did not wear my contact lenses today and just on dusk I took the dogs for a walk and I noticed a snake dart across my path. From the blurs I worked out it was a very healthy King Brown and it went across my path less than a metre away from my feet. I was only shod in Crocs and I certainly stopped very quickly . I think the dogs will be taken for their walk earlier tomorrow afternoon.

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

No I don't mind at all. I like the buy swap & sell bit for land rovers. We haven't been doing to much lately. We just live day to day at the moment. We have a few issues at home at this time. Not us or kids just finances. We thinking of swapping the disco for a small car as it seems pointless using it as a daily driver we wanted to use it but we both would prefer to go through the week so we are on our own. & we babysit Fred's ferrets every weekend as she is at Sams. So seems a waste running around in it. The cost in the long run with tyres fuel & just wear & tare. So a small car would be much better. Going to keep the gearbox & engine out of Harry & scrap the rest. It's just not getting anywhere & the way I feel about selling things on the forum I'd rather just scrap it. I have been on face page a bit lately I have a lot to do with one of the pages & have been enjoying it. I seriously need an interest outside of building land rovers. I looked at armature radio but that's expensive to get started. Um that's about it for us really Karen is still plodding along weening off the steroids. She hasn't been sleeping as much of an afternoon the last week. We get woke up at 4.30 most mornings with Fred going off to work..oh we had to take our new TV back as it had a line in it something to do with broken pixels. So they replaced it , did that today. I've been learning some knots. I'm very impressed with a knot called a prusic knot. I am going to buy some para cord to practice them on.

Ps mrs hh I liked the look of morning tea at the shed the other day to

    1969 LWB S2a yellow, gone
    1972 LWB S2a 5 DOOR wagon coming & GONE
1973 LWB S3 green Sadly GONE
    1977 LWB S3 tabletop building
    1992 disco BOINGY BOINGY

My landrover doesn't leak oil , IT SWEATS POWER
