What DcDc is in the van?

For the hitch, grab a Black Jack unit. They’re great.

It's a unit from TBB the maker of the 48V batteries. 12 to/from 48 volt bidirectional. The unit charges from 12V to the 48V batteries and the same unit provides the 12V supply to those loads.
Other components are Victron MPPT for the solar and Multiplus inverter charger.

    1956/7 Willerby Vogue.

This one took me a year to restore to its original specification.
First generation Fibreglass ( Willerby called it Armourplast) double skin monocoque design.

I’d suggest getting in touch with TBB.
Their converter should be configurable to dial it back on charge current.

Although i wouldn’t worry too much. You could wire a large (175a) Anderson feed to it from the Def and it’ll do just fine!

The advice I got from LR is to not pull more than 50A from the car. The MHEV system on the L663 has a starter generator rather than an alternator and there is no documentation on how much capacity that has so I'm playing it safe.

The MHEV runs 48v 250a and steps down to 12v for vehicle systems.

You’ll need to find the step downs rated output to understand its capabilities.

Given that a vehicle nowadays usually runs 180a+ to maintain systems, plus auxiliaries like driving lights etc. I’d be surprised if it isn’t around that limit.

I still think it’s worth a call to the company to see if the system can be set lower (or look via an app if they have one) - all the Victron gear can be dialled back, so I’d be surprised if theirs cannot.

The MHEV still has a 95Ah 850 CCA battery that is used for normal starting, just not stop/start.
