nice job Andy... but if it aint towing straight.. well its obviously no good so i insist that you let me pick it up and take it off your hands, then you wont have to worry about it..

    seriously tho.. good job!

    Thanks

Geeze nice fab job Andy! She's a beaut looking trailer. If I was a Landy, I'd be happy having that following me around.

Nice one Andrew, has come up really well. Certainly not a job I could have taken on.

Took the trailer out for a load of firewood today.Went real well.A couple of small issues. An annoying rattle, sounded like a wheel bearing about to cark it,tracked the noise eventaully to the washers on the hydraulic ram. With a load on the spring hangers foul the inside egde of the mudgaurds, angle grinder mod will fix. With the load on got 100m down the road, and the paint on the brake drums started smoking,it was the load pulling the handbrake cable on.Adjusted cable and all was well.
Tows well, especially loaded, sits well on the road, its a bit twitchy empty, probably the heavy duty springs.
I adjusted the axle yesterday,it was 10mm out,not tracks correctly and brakes work well.
Weighed the load when I got to town,1400kg!!!!
The tipper is a beauty too.

    Tip it up

    Then drive forward

    Looking good Andrew
Works a treat. Now a camper for it, what with all the spare time you now have.

A little note on lathe work on rims/wheels

I have had many lathe type jobs done on a CNC mill, they can bore a perfect bearing hole inside of a hub etc and diameter is no issue. You can't see the difference! save on die grinding rims
