Thread: Where's the Defender wave gone?

I got what I think was a rather embarrassed wave from a lady driving a Victorian-registered grey 110 in Albany the other afternoon. Her hand was on top of the wheel and when I waved she just flipped her fingers upward for a split second. I get the feeling she's under instructions, but not too happy about it!

I also had an amusing experience driving home this evening. I passed a bloke in an ex-army Unimog and neither of us waved, but we both slowly turned our heads and looked at the other's vehicle as we passed!

We got a wave from someone in an old Pajero yesterday. Also someone in a Series shortie in Carousel car park yesterday as well.

I've just this morning bought a '97 disco on Ebay for $ 850 which went over on its drivers side. I mainly wanted the 300 TDi to play with, learn to rebuild without the risk of destroying the Fender's engine. No, it wasn't Alien or Chops. I don't know who it was.
It must have been a loan car. The driver didn't have a beard.
