Read the WHOLE thread from the link I posted, both pieces go into the top of hole on the mounting plate.
the comment of the piece coming in through the bottom is wrong.
Should look like this...

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.
OK so now I hope it's right.
Who would have known it could be so complicated to find the right way to fit a little clip?
Although the Puma is up for sale I still give it a check over as we still use it. Today I put grease in the swivels and checked diff levels. Tomorrow I'll do the prop shaft greasing and wash it underneath.
I might be mad according to some people but I've always looked after my vehicles. Probably it started when I was a maintenance shift fitter many moons ago and had access to heaps of oil/grease etc. and no one watching........ you could have fried eggs with my engine oil it was so clean.

I have a auto AC guy looking at my AC later this week, he needed some info on the filter dryer/receiver, so I removed the LHS headlight and the power steering reservoir so I could see the numbers on the filter dryer.
removed the turbo outlet metal pipe, it needs some paint its rusting on the outside. I'd like to get a new one that doesn't have the crushed in section but after ringing around, i put that in the too hard basket.
I'll inform how the AC service goes and the cost.

removed front drive shaft for about the 5th time in a week ... I'm getting pretty quick at it now.
All this phasing of driveshaft has been hurting my head how it can work .. and it seems on my car it just doesn't.
Present day for the Defender, popped into ARB and picked up a portable twin compressor, recovery kit and digital tyre pressure gauge. First visit to ARB, nice toy shop indeed! Money goes fast there.
Always thought ARB had good gear but sometimes going in there is like going into Dick Smith 30 years ago. Enthusiastic young people who often give misleading or just plan wrong advise. (Not unlike many places i suppose).
This view was reconfirmed on a recent visit to my local ARB shop, first time in over 15 years.
Hope you enjoy your new toys Stinkler, am thinking not much change from $1k? ;-)
Cheers

Ha, indeed no change! I'm a total novice, so to be honest I have no idea what the advice was like. He seemed a good clear bloke.
I definitely went top end with compressor, but I'll be working it on my land and needed one that would run a few basic tools.
Time will tell, steep learning curve for me.
