It wont take you very long if you do it yourself.. just got a couple of things to look out for, but apart from that, the job itself is not to bad. Should have her running again today. Just got to go and get some coolant and away we go. You need to check the tension twice. So set the torque, do a couple of laps, loosen off again and reset. Just make sure that all the timing marks line up. There is one on the crank, one on the cam and then the timing pin for the fuel pump. My fuel pump was a little bit out, maybe half a tooth. You should be able to put the timing pin in loosely. Anyway, there is plenty of information out there to help.

Well the moment of truth is apon me.. Just going to get some coolant and an o ring for the oil cooler and she will be sweet as apples. Then on to wheel bearings

It would also appear, after close inspection of the radiator, that it was well and truely past its used by date.. The fins were very brital, and just fell apart in my hands, so very glad to have changed that out. On an aside, the new radiator has plastic end tanks, so this will only be a temporary change (1 year or so I would say), till I get the old radiator re-cored, minus the oil cooler. I will be changing to something like an RX7 13B cooler or similar with custom lines.

Well started the motor... no bent valves! Wooot! Car seems to run ALOT smoother. And the small hesitation that I had off idle is gone... Sweet deal! So, going to go for a longer run and then see how she goes
