Mine reach the bottom and have the recess for the panel step, i think koaster may have his sitting too high possibly.

The rear flare definitely goes from panel line to the bottom, Koasters' are a different size, being a different brand.

Comparing the two, the door flare does not go as far down either, or does it just look that way because of the white panel?

No they are not to high in relation to the gap at the bottom. Being the cheaper alternative I think they are just incorrect. They did not have the recess for either panels and in fact I ended up addding one for the door flares since it wouldn't sit flush.

As you are correct they don't reach the bottom on the door either.

I may have quite well fitted then to high but either way I fitted them it would not be 100% correct. If the tops would have been lower and the ends reached the bottom of the panels it would hang lower than the original guard thus providing less clearance and getting eaten by a new tyre soon.

Probably not such a bad thing (might not look the best) but mine have had a few knoks & scrapes on the bottom corner.

Agree with your judgement if you aligned them with the bottom of the door/panel they would become well aquainted with the tyre.
Even as it is now, the consrevative trim of the door will be close. The size of tyre you have chosen should clear, goto 33" and it'll probably need adjusting.

The tyres rub and even if i cut more of the guard they will still rub on this and the entire inside panel it looks like. So i think I'm going to have to extend the suspension bump stops by about an inch which is painful. Ill clean up the cuts a bit soon and paint them so they dont rust.

2" Tough dog lift. shocks and springs although they are only medium duty.

Im going to measure the tyres tomorrow to see if they are infact 32" and then if that dosnt work. Ill measure the springs on the car and see if i can find a measurement for stock springs anywhere but im 99% i did that when i changed them and they where bigger.

Mine scrub in the same spot, happens once or twice an outing.

Spring lift just changes the starting point, the wheel will still tuck into the wheel arch till bump stops or coil bind stops it. Check your bump stops are in good condition, replace as necessary but i wouldnt extend them.

Take note of what it is rubbing up against. As long as it is not anything sharp you will not damage the tyre, a quick squirt of killrust after washing and the panel will be fine.

Remember one of my earlier comments, you cannot get rid of all the scrubbing without a body lift, but you can get it to the point where it will not do any damage.
