    ome shocks on disco

    putting in ome nitrocharger shocks after the raw shocks i had for only 5/6months were found to be bent and when taken out one fell apart.is any one running these in there LR and what do u think about them?

    I have ome shocks on and think they are great.They were there when i bought the car so don't know details.You will be able to check them out on the weekend.Cheers Brett

    Have them in mine and they work ok. Am thinking of upgrading to 80 series/GQ shock combination to gain greater length and better rebound control though.

    I've got them in my bus Mick. They are pretty firm but work well.

    does that mean changing the diffs or just fitting to your diffs now

    You continue to use all the original lr mounting points.
    On the front 80 series shocks bolt straight up. All you need to do is lift your turrets slightly so they dont bottom out.
    On the rear you fit GQ shocks and usually weld an eye to the top of the shock so that it will fit.

    Hi Mick,

    looking at going down the OME track myself on all 4 corners of my D2 SLS no lift.... with a view to doing a 25mm lift down the track... so watching this with interest as looking to spend the limited funds wisely.

    OME Shocks

    I fitted a set of OME shocks and springs to my D2 and have put them to work over all sorts of terrain with different degrees of weight over the past 6 weeks and they have performed very well and without fault.
