Just transfer all the goodies from the "new car" onto the old one. Less stuffing around with the engine and head etc. You've had too much trouble enginewise already, so steer away from that. You've already had too much trouble with the "old car" aka "the dingy", its actually reliable now. Plus it's about time you get some accessories, instead of just fixing it the whole time.

You could eventually transfer the turbo over, seeing as yours has done heaps of k's. The engine will probably go better then too.

You picked that disco up for a steal, good to see the dingy coming along, you might actually make it to trips now. You're long over due, when was the last time....beach trip???

    Cheers

    haha yeah i will!

yeah hendrik brother, was definitely planning on changing the turbo over, should go alot better then! you won't be able to stop the old dingy after this!! first thing im going to hit is that bloody hole at murphys and get through it this time with my new snorkel!!

While im here does anyone know how big a job it would be to change turbo's over?

Dont worry mate, Boxer is talking about hes brain...

I agree with rest, keep your current one, swap parts over and sell the rest or keep for spares (a windscreen alone is worth $$).

yeah i have agreed on that option seemed to be the best, i have started the conversion as i posted earlier, i will keep it up to date hopefully with more pictures!!

Problem is though is that the car is at my dads place in Toowoomba (thats where all the tools are ) and i am living in brissie atm so i have to get inbetween here and there on weekends to do the work, ah well.

Also i will now need to get some new front springs to support all the new weight, i just bloody put new ones in too, they are iron man, so im going to have to get rid of them and find some different ones i guess. Anyone need a pair of 2 inch lift springs for the front? and anyone selling some good heavy duty ones?

What are you spring rates? I have just taken a smart bar on and put an ARB bar which is much much heavier and so far so good they are ok...I'm expecting them to sag eventually in which case if I don't put new springs in I will just put spacers in to regain the height

thanks mate, i think ill just chuck it on and see how it goes hey, ill just replace them if i need, the blue car must have heavier shocks anyway cause it was holding the bar alright so ill just put them on if i really need.

Sam.thompson man, ill pm you about the side steps cause i don't think i can talk about sales on this forum...
