Mark the hole out VERY clearly (white out)
Use a 4" grinder with 1mm cutting discs to cut the shape out as best you can, leaving at least 10mm to go.
Use a grinding disk to get the rough shape, thena flap disk to neaten the hole up. Take your time and you will get it right.

I've never had an issue using a grinder on guards, although have used an air nibbler & jigsaw.

Mate got a bit carrier away with the nibbler - not the desired result, so I will never use one of them (partly because of my lack of experience with nibblers)

    Cheers.

Looking good dude and at least you have a different bar to me now. Now you just have to use it instead of fixing it and adding to it.

It is actually the dark epsom green but looks silver in the avatar as I had been driving through dusty, sandy tracks all morning.

Now that you have that winch Shamo, you might be able to keep up with me and Toby in the D2's. And you can winch Danno up everywhere, seeing as he doesn't have a winch.

For some reason I don't think he will like me saying all this, as he absolutely despises D2's

    Cheers

haha yeah i was thinking it was very strange until i read this post.. :P its the only colour to have, was probably my main reason for keeping it over the blue one haha

More pics this weekend when i do the snorkel

Also what do you guys think about if i use the front roof rack thats on the blue car (you can see it in the pictures in the first post) and put it on mine and fit 4 smallish square spotlights along the top? i think it would look cool atleast... alot of people who i have talked to think ill just be a big ****** lol but ah well... do you think i could drill through the roof rack to fit a few brackets for the lights?
