Thanks slunnie, but I think I should take the kiss approach, will be looking into koni raids I think. All the stuffing around with fabbing bits and mounting canisters will be a bit fiddley, bolt straight in is the go for me I think![]()
The mount on the shock body is a TIG welded joint, the mount on the shaft screws on.
Cheers

No guards on my shocks...
No problems in years of running them.
If you lot knew what my old D2 has been through you'd be dumb founded!
And it's still rocking on!
Ah I have plenty of pain, I'm not just swapping some shocks in here, this is a full project, from full engine/gearbox conversion, diff rebuilds, brake up grades, body lift, inter cooler, t/case rebuild, etc......so if I can just bolt some really good shocks straight in, its one less headache. Now I need to find part numbers and lengths on some raid 90's

Can some of you guys post up some pics of what you have done with the reserviors in the front of your Disco II. Getting the clamps from a Enzed is no worries but I would like to get them out of the engine bay.
I'm thinking of putting them in the inner guard but I need to extend the hose to the reservior. Can some of you more experienced guys make comment on this? I'm hopping it's just a matter of getting a longer hose or a second hose and then a joiner. Refill with nitrogen and good to go.
Happy Days.
Joel
I was talking to Ben Woodgate at APT Fabrications the other day, and he says that if you fit tubular shock turrets, you can fit the reservoirs to them.
He makes strengthened ones for $220 a pair in a lovely shade of green.

Thanks mate,
There are a few options around with the tubular shock turrets but I dont really want to open up a new hole for dust and dirt to enter the engine bay and I really want to get the reservoirs out and away from the engine heat. The heat is the biggest reason. They are currently cable tied in and while I could just buy the clamps to mount them I cant easily fix the heat problem.
Happy Days.
Vern, the lower mounts on a 7100 unscrew from the shaft, and you can fit pins. This is what heasmans did for me, with pins for a 100 series cruiser.
I'm using them on a 110, with D2 turrets and RTE rear mounts. Only using 10" short bodies though, so not a huge amount more flex, just wanted great shocks and balanced front / rear.
