It's not a bad looking unit. It appears to be a WinCE device and runs the GPS Nav software from SD Card so it should be possible to run OziExplorer or MemoryMap on it.

im running a very similar unit. was plug and play to setup just had to swap the 12v constant power and the accessory power pins with one another and works a charm. located the gps black aerial box on the front left a pillar. the GPS software is on a micro sd card. Im loving the bluetooth compatibility on mine.

This is my second unit (the first unit died a while after the warranty). It uses WinCe.Net. I've tried running a tonne of turn by turn apps, etcetera... Only the Sygic software works with it - and only that particular software from the Eonon company.

I bought OziEplorer for windows and Android: The notebook on the dash runs OziExplorer for Windows. The Android version isn't functioning at the moment due to a lemon-tablet - can't even make lemonade with it.

I'm hopping to test the Android version on a Nexus 7, soon.

    Cheers.

I wonder if that was my problem with the unit resetting itself if I left it running and then try to start the diesel.

A brilliant person here gave me the ISO plug layout. I'll check when I put it in.

    Cheers.

the pins are easy to pull out, you just need a small set of screw drivers and push it down the pin end, along the side of the pin and pull on the wire it should come out easy.

I may give it go tomorow on the way to camp before our Sunday trip.
The network is due to expand but who knows when.

I feed the digital arial along the heater box using a coathanger to get it through the gaps.
It then runs up under the L/H A pillar trim and is stuck to the windscreen between the pillar and centre mirror.
Watch the pick up wires to the box, one of mine pulled out when fitting.

To remove the old head unit I used some 3 inch nails that fitted just nice into the holes.
Thanks mate. So glovebox out and then up from under for the last bit to feed up the A pillar cover?

    Cheers

    Well done mate!

I am very close to an acquisition of a DAB stereo. I pulled out the stock unit this morning and the HVAC and had a poke around...Im not sure how to route the DAB antenna past the back of the glove box. I assume you start on the left side of the stereo area where it drops down and feed it down there somehow?

    Cheers

If you remove the entire front centre panel it makes it a lot easier. I managed to route New power and earth cables, 4 rca's, amp trigger wires (3), 4 x speaker wires plus fit the ISO to unit adaptor harness in there.

Once removed you can better see where you can fit stuff, just have a look before and then as you remove, shine a torch from the footwell and see where things open up. Also remove the cardboard cover from under the glovebox in the footwell.
