I de EGR'd my TD5 six years ago and only today got around to stripping out the associated (but now redundant) vacuum control solenoid and hoses. Also replaced the expansion tank pressure cap with a genuine one (thanks Mario).

Got back into my D2 with the HSE seats and growly V8 and heaps of room, and felt a renewed love after spending the day in a 2014 shorty Defender... Haven't been in a Deefer for a while... Very happy I purchased the D2 in 2002 over one. Cheers
Ok, technically not today, but thought that I'd share that I found a great place for my new switch bank. Found it all on eBay.

Today I removed and cleaned my MAP sensor and also checked the condition of the airbox filter and this after a coupla days ago removing my MAF to measure resistances and to clean it if necessary - but it wasn't necessary (MAF and filter are just like new - love my Mantec Snorkle :D )

Re-fitted the bull bar and it's now no longer on an angle, fitted the new light bar and wired it up - having a pre-made loom meant it's pretty much plug and play. Stripped out a bunch of old wiring for spotlights and other accessories no longer needed.
Got driven by my leaner driving son. Manual 4.6. He found it quite a bit different from the 800kg Suzuki Swift he drove the other day... Cheers
