Fitted the new Pioneer head unit and Philips +130 globes that never turned up in Alice Springs a month ago....

That means I don't have to have my little Bose bluetooth speakers sitting on the passenger seat to hear my tunes and I'll have half a chance of seeing at night.

Bigger condenser or more air flow.

An idea what pressures you're getting high and low side, plus air off temps ?

    sorry. i meant condenser..

i had figures about 2 weeks ago but ive forgotten the numbers.

so i;ll make some up. if the high side is meant to be between 1400 and 1800 then mine was sitting at 1850. i bit high, but nothing to worry about (or so i was told).

    whats air-off temps?

Air off = delivery temp out of the outlets, plus it's nice to have a suction pressure to make sure they correlate.

It blows me away (no pun intended) what you see on car systems vs what is normal in industrial/commercial systems with the same refrigerant.

    What blew ?
I'd expect the HP switch to trip before a hose fitting popped.

    Might've been a dodgy crimp.

Oil+refrigerant under pressure makes a hell of a mess, doesn't it.

Being less than 20°C outside today, a popped hose is just bad workmanship on someone's behalf. I bought a proper crimper a couple of years ago and you have to give them heaps to get a good grip.
