Replaced the reverse lights switch on the side of the manual trans. From underneath. If you want to save a lot of stuffing around use a 19mm right angle ring spanner and side cut old plug wires off first and attack job from the rear of the box. Cheers

Took a new car for a drive

well that's what it seemed like after I did the engine and trans mounts. I know I should have been prepared, but it was even more of a difference to what I was expecting.

I did it in my In-laws pit. I must say it would be a real PIA doing it on your back. Took me about 2.5hrs to get it done. Painful at times and I smashed my elbow cracking the top nut on the drivers side. But got there in the end.

I also did take 2 on my rocker cover gasket. I took Mario's advice and bought a new set of the rubber grommets and washer things (I can't remember the proper name for them). But there was an appreciable difference in the way they compressed down when I torqued them up, to the old hard ones. So hopefully that will stop the weeping at the back corner.

When home the second key fob locked, unlocked and start the D2
Since electronics was as well be magic to me, can't see how it operates, two new batteries didn't fix it. what is left as the problem?

So...turns out the fuel gauge decided to stop working at 1/4 full. Although I've never had an issue with it, turned out that 1/4 was bone dry.

RAA thought faulty injector pump which made dollar signs flash before my eyes! Took local Landu mechanic an hour or so to work it out before putting in 10lt & off it went again!

Do u think it needs a new sender, gauge or both?

Congrats to the gent who said no fuel!

Did u need to put sealer under the back of the gasket? I did mine a while ago & damn thing still leaks
