What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Had the same issue with my ARB bar and solved with LEDs in the rear indicator lights!!! Trailers with LEDs are ignored by the trailer light.... just not enough voltage drop...

Today replaced the drivers side mirror and greased driveshaft unis.... how many pumps is too much?

Problem is they work with incandescent bulbs by effectively measuring overall resistance in circuit. Sufficient resistance equals flash on dash (ie one more bulb - one on the trailer - is plugged in). Put an extra indicator on the after market bullbar ARB style and car “thinks” it’s a trailer bulb. Thus now if dash stops flashing it means at least one of your indicator bulbs is dead ....UNLESS you’re running LED bulbs anywhere in which case it’s entirely possible that even with a trailer attached the dash light won’t flash ....
yes , that's correct, but for the benefit of those not following the thread I should have said , they flash only once if the trailer has led lights or if it has incandescent lights that don't work , that is the reason for the telltale after all.

as with all grease pumped in under pressure, in the perfect world you will hear the grease push past the seals, a pretty good sign to stop.
in the LR world? keep watching at all times,,,any grease pumped in that stays there is a win!

TJM use relays to stop that happening, but the way they do it is a bit untidy.

    Thanks Pedro.
Fluked it with dead reckoning... heard a tiny crackling squeeze noise and stopped... thinking I went 1 too far.

IMO you can't pump too much.

Did I just type that? What happened to your Discovery 2 today? What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

I like to purge, gets any contamination out.

Having said that sealed for life components last a bloody long time as long as the seal isn't compromised.

Regarding mounting brackets for my Td5.... these came with the car when I bought it last year.
Is this brand worth installing or just save the pennies for genuine?

Everything I've read points to better results with genuine engine mounts. I'm yet to fit mine - bought from Mario and Heather a couple of months back. Hoping to fit them this week, actually.

The general consensus is to use genuine, as the others do not last long.
