Finally got around to replacing the ht leads, as I had a couple fail recently.
It was actually much easier than I expected and took about 40 minutes which I thought was pretty good for an amateur. The secret for me was to have a mate feed the new leads from the sides, in the order I requested, as I lay on top of the motor and plugged them into the coil packs by hand.

What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Courtesy of AliExpress and Aust Post I have received a rubber moulding strip to tryout as a replacement for the plenum panel to windscreen seal. The strip was advertised as being “universal” for that application...... anyway we’ll see if it does the job!

What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Installed the plenum cover to windscreen rubber sealing strip today and I’m very happy with the result. Application of mild soapy water in a spray bottle helped to ease it on... What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Does look good. Do you think it will be water tight? I need to do mine as well. I've got the good old uv tape which is doing the job well at the mement.

It’s not mean to be water tight.

There are two points of contact to the glass if your plenum cover is not warped, it needs to be straight and parallel to the glass. In any-case I will run a bead of windscreen sealant along the top of the rubber for a weatherproof bond.

Water on the drivers floor is usually not from there.
It is sometimes from faulty sealing at the top corner of the windscreen or of course being a Land Rover from almost anywhere. Sunroof? I would be checking my fuse panel.

Yes, water on my driver side floor was caused by said faulty sealing and further by the blocked drain hole at the bottom of the A pillar which was not allowing the water that got in, to get out What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Yes! ....good contact with the glass is required in the general area of the passenger side windscreen wiper park position. This is because just under the plenum cover there, is the ventilation inlet.
