Thanks Slunnie. I will put some soapy water over the seals and used compressed air from inside. If it bubbles I will probably take it to an auto glass mob. Cheers

    Thats a good idea!

I've got another leak in the roof again. Does my head in.

I was just going to put the hose on the various parts of the rood and see where on the roof made it leak. A little neanderthal, but hopefully it finds the leak for me. My guess is the roof rails, but I may be very wrong! I'm not looking forward to stripping the roof liner out again.
    Cheers
    Slunnie

If you suspect an Alpine window, just run neatly around the outside with sikaflex or roof and gutter sealant.

I've got a mate who has used someone reasonably local, who he recommends. I'll chase up the name and get back to you.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Thanks mate. I like Sika but I will need to be careful to get enough on but not make it look awful in the process. The outer (wind/aesthetics) rubbers are perished and shrunken but if the bonding was good that shouldn't matter. Might get some black Sika or Marine Fixseal into it and see if I can make it seal but look OK. Cheers

Lift your bonnet and look at base of windscreen/ a-pillar as well.

Common to crack down there and let water in..

Seal them with some tape for a few weeks, keep wetting the vehicle.

If it keeps leaking it’s not the Alpine windows.

    Cheap way to test.
