Back on the road with new tires, new flex plate, ashcroft HD torque converter and a CDL front housing fitted. The combo has totally transformed the car.

    It's Kent Green Metallic.

Only seen one other on the road here in the UK. I do see a couple more Freelanders in the same colour.

I like the stance you've got with the lift and tyres.. how high did you lift it, what size rims are they and tyre specs?

I like your original front bar, what make is it? I have an ARB front bar but don't like that it actually reduced my approach angle.

That bar looks really, good improves on every aspect of the car, i want one. Never seen it before and definitely not ARB. I wonder how hard it would be to make, just using the original crush cans and a winch tray that mounts to the chassis directly. hmm garage time.

    Except it didnt

Approach angle is measured from bottom of wheel across next object in path forward.

The ARB sits further forward at a higher point... So its approach is same / better...

Its just that it ramps before the wheels do...

But I get what you were saying... Wait till you meet a Kangaroo then you'll love the ARB

I had always thought it was an angle measured from the pioint the wheel would hit an object that is straight like a giant setsquare and when it would hit whatever hangs infront of the wheels, like in the landy manuals.

And i want one of those TP bars on our D2, bugger off the ARB
