I didn't find any barrier with the language at all.
Have you emailed Matia and asked for a paypal request?

Just follow the "How to buy' segment on the web site.

Does this thing work fully with the early TD5 D2's that were pre OBDII and pre flash ECUs?

    G'day Slunnie,

Mine is a 99 D2 and it works fine. You obviously can't flash new fuel maps but apart from that it is all good. I don't have airbags so I can't comment on that.

Occasionally it gets confused when you try to switch which computer you are talking to, but when ALL the computers in the car talk on the same single wire in the ODB port I figure it is fair enough. Cycling the ignition clears things up.

    Regards,
    Pete

Have you asked for total cost including shipping yet ?

The response I got when I ashed for the shipping costs made perfect sense and has precise payment information.

If you try to just send the 270 (ish) euro without the shipping costs then your probably will end up with a heap of language related headaches trying to figure it out.

    Direct from the website

    "

RTFM, It really is pretty simple.

I had a few days between request and response. Maybe due to them needing to work out actual shipping costs? Maybe because they are just snowed under with the demand? They must have hundreds of Evo's going in the post every week just to catch up on back orders..

Be patient, the Evo REALLY is worth the effort.

The site talks about a future "expansion board" allowing sensors.

Is this a hardware modification to the "Evolution" that you need to open it up and just “plug in” a component? Or is this some serious modification

Anyone able to help with the above question

    Scott Oz,
The Evolution comes with an expansion port in the side of the unit. My understanding is that the new expansion board cable would just plug into the port to enable you to "manage extra sensor and drive optionals devices as fan, lights etc directly from the touch display."

    Peter5111,

    Quick question...

looking at those menu structures you posted for the Td5 defender; would I be right in thinking that the ECU's cruise control function can actually be used via the evo? Or does it just report the settings / faults with it?

I was going to fit a cruise but also buy a Nanocom Evo. soon, maybe I don't need to bother wiring up a cruise if the unit can be used to access the facility. I'd appreciate your comment.

    Thanks,

    Ian.

    G'day Ian,

I don't have a Defender to check for certain, but I am pretty sure it is purely for diagnostics.

Even if you could 'drive' the cruise control, I don't think it would be that practical from the Evo.

    Regards,
    Pete
