I came across this years ago when doing a few mitsi units, the aircon guy wanted me to run either a twin or sdi (can't remember) as part of the interconnects due to inductance issues, not that any issues ever arose.

Actually,i will admit, we generally use orange 4 core circ, but have never ever had an issue.Always 2.5mm square.

But yes, to be 100% correct, must be Twin and SDI,as the SDI must be used for the comms cable.Thats if there are three interconnects plus earth.

I am surprised our sparky hasn't pulled us up on it as he is right onto things.

Had some relays in a mechanical services switchboard recently switching both 24V and 240 V,and tracking across causing all sorts of issues.Blew two relays out of the bases.

Maybe not against the rules, but not good.

Yep never had a problem with any splitty I've installed using 4 core but i used shielded cable on the controls of wired remotes for cassettes in commercial installations I installed and the install boys use it for City Multis at the current place.

We had 7 calls the last hot weekend, now its cooled down, none so far.

Although it doesnt worry me,i have resigned from the on call stuff

Although my phone does still ring,3.28AM one day last week, and 4.48am one day the week before.

The 4.48am one was the refrigerant alarm going off in the chiller plant room, the chiller guys went and said it says R404a,so it must be one of the cold room units, that are also in the plant room.So one of the boys gets there, and he can hear the leak on the York chiller, runs on R134a.Cold/frz units are fine.
