Merry Christmas
Spot on.
It's getting uncomfortably close to our place too. Gangs hop on a bus from Springvale, which takes them straight to the Beach where they start fighting, terrorizing shop keepers, residents, but with just the odd arrest, usually the Police just "move them on", (to another location) where they just carry on with the same stuff. AND, I ain't blaming the Police even one per cent, (BIG respect) I was talking to a couple of them (Local Police) yesterday morning,....they just do what they're told.
Pickles.
Merry Christmas
Call me cyinical But when it was only the general public suffering from the antics of these Thugs there "Apparently" wasnt a Gang problem, Now that one of their own has become a victim of this Violence all of a sudden they admit that there IS a Gang problem.![]()

Perhaps a return to the old Bumper Farrell style of policing would make a difference. Bumper was known to meet and greet a new crim in his patch by picking them up off the ground by the ears, Drop them and give them a mighty kick up the bum with his size 14 police boots and tell them they could not expect to be treated so gently if he came across them again. Many a bad egg in Inner Sydney then was hustled up a lane and given a decent flogging, which would keep them off the streets, if not in hospital, for a couple of weeks.

But they changed all the rules for the better
And consequently thats why we suddenly have all these issues......
So last year they spent $2.4million on ID,Intential Damage, in NSW youth centres.
Over the last 4 yrs it has increased 4 fold, yet the population in the centres has gone up slightly, over the same time period.
The largest youth centre in QLd,spent $1.2mill,last year, on ID.A massive increase over previous years, but the inmate numbers have had a very small increase.
Ten times more than cost of ID in the largest adult jail in Qld.That jail has a population 5 times the youth centre population.
Youth crime is out of control, particularly in places like Townsville.
And it will only get worse.Nothing is being done about it.
We all know what has changed in the last 5 to 8yrs or so,and it definitely hasn't been for the better.
If this doesn't strike you as a problem with these gangs of thugs then there is something seriously wrong with you .

Hi Trout,
It’s interesting that the usual suspects aren’t hear claiming that your article is fake news or lies.
Its a bit hard to ignore it their own people are saying that gangs are an issue.
Oh I can hear the eventual response “yes but there are gangs in every culture.” and “poor little youths are bored, it’s our fault for not keeping them busy”
Some people live with their heads in the sand.
At least the thugs are being sent back “home”.
As long as they are being sent away from this great country of ours, that’s all that I care.

Bring back the cat and the noose, I say.
The noose is a sure cure for recidivism.
