I'm sure it's different to day when Apprentices wouldn't even know what a Broom is as Paul alludes to.
Everybody seems to be a "Technician" these days therefore would never get their hands dirty or cut. Maybe Technicians have **** kickers they can boss around in turn? Could happen.![]()
Anyway, by the time they got kitted up in safety gear & togs it'd be Home Time after which contract cleaners would enter the premises.![]()
Possibly a similarly stupid reason why "all" C series Valiants had a known problem for rusting at windscreen base and in air plenum... told it was solved during the latter CM run....then they closed.
I had an early CM. 4.0l With ELB... actually gave respectable mileage sometimes.. the 4.3 was more impressive when the ducks lined up.
You mean like the Pancake Kitchen in Adelaide? Notorious for that.
Didn't happen with me or my co worker & we were there for 11 years until I lifted my horizons. My offsider 2 years later on, also bought the business that we both worked for. Keith ( old boss) retired. To a beach shack somewhere.
His son was a Town Planner & wasn't interested in the business. Offsider went on to establish his own business in his own right.
Very droll,no nothing like that 350, I was headhunted by another crowd that did very different work.
Large AC systems, Milk Vats, Ice Bank Coolers, large Apple & Pear Stores, Industrial Water chillers, a bit of Ammonia Creamery Package stuff etc etc etc. Coincidentally, I was with them also for 11 years & then went out on my own which I did for another aprox. 40 years. Initially Refrigeration, & then Refrig.+ Air cond & then solely Carrier & Fujitsu Air cond. sales & Installations.
My esteemed colleagues on here are doing much more Ballsy work than I could have even imagined back then.
But the grounding I had in my 1st & 2nd Jobs held me in good stead. Ran this business until 2000 & retired to spend our Billions.
Yea roight.
Not too bad a CV when I read that.
Probably, isn't everybody Wodger?
I was at Tech. school for a year, left when I was 14 into my first job of Display Painting & Construction, into Refrig & away..........
I did say Approx but that is quite feasible to achieve seeing as I didn't keep a diary of events.. Problem?![]()
