    Too right!
I may have to start going weekly rather than fortnightly.

    Something to crow about

Always found people who build house under flight paths then whining about aircraft odd+. Ditto for tree changers who move to farming areas then get upset about farm noises.

The French get it. Its a law there now

French Roosters Now Crow With the Law Behind Them

After a series of high-profile disputes in rural areas, the French Parliament has passed a bill that enshrines countryside smells and sounds as protected national heritage.

Can you imagine being awoken to the sound & smell of a Cow **** Spreader driving past one's bedroom window @ 0600 on a warm morning? Takes the edge off any planned events.

    As they say, "**** happens".

You gotta admit though the incessant/constant crowing of a Rooster in the morn can be quite aggravating especially if next doors (& you were living there years before Guido moved in with his flock of livestock) Also they can be heard all around the neighbourhood.

Next worse thing IMHO is the operation of the Police "Blue Light Discos" until midnight & later. Maybe SAPOL only?)

Supposedly there were more drugs being passed around than a Pharmacy @ Full Steam.

We had a rooster, his name was "rowdy", because he was noisier than the other chickens.

My neighbour complained to the council about him crowing early in the mornings , an officer was at my place within hours , no discussion entered into, Rowdy had to go.

So he lived a good life on Russel Island.

Is good that some Councils take it seriously but when you lived in an area that was predominantly Southern European & the Inspector is also of that persuasion & possibly takes a sweetener or is the owner's relly, it becomes difficult.

Some how the bloody thing did disappear eventually, maybe an Irate Neighbour got to him?

As Manuel would say, "I know nothing Mr Fawlty, I know nothing".

If roosters annoy you dont try living in a village in Thailand! The mongrel things don't wait for the sun to start coming up, but start crowing around 3-00 am.
It then becomes a competition with all the other roosters in the village to elect the loudest!

    Hi,
    Roosters?
    Meh!
I once (unknowingly) was booked in to a small Thai hotel oposite a pork slaughterhouse.
Talk about screaming like a stuck pig!
    Cheers

In Marakesh, I was awoken around 0400 by what I took as a dog howling. Turns out it was the electrically amplified call to prayer from the local tower of power.
