While I was at Uni there was a scandal involving the Chemistry Society's annual dinner - about a week later it was discovered that a four gallon container of absolute alcohol had gone missing from the department's (locked) bonded store. (Possibly grew in the telling, may have only been one gallon)

By all accounts it was the most festive dinner ever.

    I found it first- NOT

If you give a Capt Cook? Chris found America- we all know that right? Or perhaps he knew what he was looking for
Mysterious Text Suggests Europeans Knew of America Long Before Columbus Set Sail

"A document written by a Milanese friar, dated to around 1345, has been found to contain what looks like a reference to the Atlantic coast of North America – suggesting Italian sailors were already aware of the continent some 150 years before Christopher Columbus set sail for it."

The plate on Dirk Hart Hog Island WA proved james was not the first here as well

Loving Judges today- NSW this time- "Isn't this giving all of that oxygen?" Nailed it

"Isn't this giving all of that oxygen?" the magistrate replied.

Sergeant Assaad insisted Mr Shanks was "leading the charge" and said the videos had the potential to influence witnesses.
"That's a charge? God, it's not even a walk through the park. It's inane," the magistrate replied. Link

If you ever get a chance, read 'Cod, by Mark Kurlansky' about the history of the North Atlantic Cod Fishery. There are records of Vikings and also Basque fisherman who found the continental USA centuries before Columbus.
Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from taking a nap.

And did their best to make sure none of their competitors knew about it - but there is considerable evidence that other countries' fishermen were visiting the cod fisheries well before Columbus, and occasionally landing in Newfoundland and possibly further south.

So the Vikings didn't like pumpkin either, eh?
