BTW, BTW I am not young or even youngish.
Odd I agree- If they ask for it

on the age bit I love a 95+ year old who when asked how the new supported digs were? She told me Great but some young whipper snappers were a bit of a pain!

After she saw the doc I offered help if needed with the "young whipper snappers"

She said she can deal with them. I asked how old the "young whipper snappers" were

Only in their 80s James she said!

    Age is relative mate

I went to a job last week, and they said some old bloke came last time, about a year ago.

Now i wonder who that was?

Geez,i havent crept over 80 yet not even close to mid 60's.

Maybe the QLD sun has made me look old.

With that shiny new car as a backdrop, you would look older, than you are.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

It will hit you sooner than you think.

Not just the sun but also the booze the drugs & a few hundred of those bronzed crazy women/nymphomaniacs but R22 & 12 are especially hard on one's age. How do I know this?

You will know you are pushing on when little old ladies & chaps give up their seats for you on public transport. Yep, even those young 80 year oldes.

You just wait & see, sunshine.

Thanks mate, that gives me something to look forward to.

There are that many refrigerants now,i dont really know which one is the healthier?

The MIL used to say, once you hit 60,out in the public, one seems to turn transparent

Ian,it isnt shiny and new anymore, although after that last trip,it did take me 3 hours to clean it,so its sort of not really shiny, but cleaner.

I should throw up a pic,but not being an LR,the post will probably get deleted

I know one thing, its the only new 4WD wagon i have ever bought that hasnt been to the dealer for a repair or many in its first 2 yrs on the road, touch wood

Earlier than 60 I'm afraid old bean. I was in my forties when I called into a Lunch shop for, you guessed it, some Lunch, & all about me folk were being served even those who came in hours after I did until in the end when Hunger took over I politely asked (Yep, I can do Polite ) "Excuse me am I invisible?" A fair question I thought as I got some odd looks. They looked all about them to see who had the audacity to speak forth. I thought I must be invisible after all, but nay someone realised I was a real potential customer with money & served me.

Transparent imho is far better than invisible lemme tell you, at least there might be a shimmering outline so there may be some hope & at today's age none of that would occur & thank goodness for checkouts, Manned or Self Serve, the lights & beeps would prove I was there.

    ripped off?

I got a few $$$. it was appreciated. Decided I should consider what to do. Super top up, holiday. Kids things...........

A two month term deposit seemed ok. Then I noted inflation and thought ouch- My mistake and very very low interest rate of course not increasing unlike the banks mortgage rates

I rang the bank asking if I can cancel the term deposit- The bank phone person said IF I go into the bank they could do that for me.

I go to the bank- They made me wait an hour then said with out a vaild reason I could not do what I was told by the bank (phone) was easy!

Two months goes by and I have the money. Moving it to another place I often transfer money to. Those transfers are almost instant. The term deposit amount was a over the transfer limit. I call the bank who kindly increase the limit but it was still going to take more than a week to get my money. The bank phone said I can just go into the bank and they can easily do the hole lot at once (option 2).

I transferred twice and got the money on the spot two days ago and yesterday. Yesterday I scheduled another several transfers to get the rest of my money.
The scheduled transfer came out of my Bank account this morning at 5am but is not in my account several hours later!

I rang the bank asking What happened to my money. They told me transfers are very different to scheduled transfers. My scheduled transfer today might get to me in #3# days

Canceled the next scheduled transfers and went to do option 2 I go to the bank- They made me wait an hour then at 15:55 I was told as it was close to closing time the transfer they told I would have to pay $$ for them to do would not occur for a day or two!

Never had so much trouble getting my money from a bank I have been with for 40 years. Not happy Jan.

They did every time offer to record a complaint- All I want is my money. It is clearly much easier to be a grumpy old bugger
