About a month & half ago went to order new head light washer jet for my wife's car from dealers S/Parts & was told the part was not available in AU & would not order the part even though I said I would pay for it in full & hopefully it would arrive when the vehicle went in for service this week, but he still refused giving me a post it note with a part number on it telling me to give it to the service department for them to order it when I took it for service. Because the number looked like a 2 year old had written it I couldn't find the part number on the internet . Fast forward 1 1/2 months , 2 weeks ago I booked it in for service ( took 3 phone calls before I got a booking) also to have front splitter fitted ( which they didn't fit last time because they forgot to order it & ran out of time just leaving it on back seat for me to fit) & spoke to them about the problem with the S /Parts guy & was told the Parys manager would call me . Fast forward 2 weeks vehicle went in for service yesterday , & still no call from spare parts manager , 2hr's after dropping off vehicle the call I was expecting , up selling , we advise at 90K this needs to be done at a cost of $150 because the intake will be full of bugs & dirt ( vehicle has only done 68k's in 7 years never on dirt roads or at night much) I told them I didn't believe it needed doing & they were up selling but as it is a diesel agreed to have it done but told them I wanted the work it was booked in for done 1st. I got a call around 4PM that all work had been done & when I arrived to PU the vehicle all that they had done was the service & cleaning out the intake ( may be) Was told the splitter could not be fitted because the the front panel was all bent & all the clips were broken & needed to go to panel shop to be repaired. they hah not ordered the headlight washer jet because I had to pay for it before the order was placed, Said I told you to order it this morning & all they had to do was add it to my service account . So for what they say they did with capped price service cost $420 , the cost of each of the filters was around $60 each ( full filter kit from Repco is $80 for 3 filters )
Report on vehicles states that it needs a new cam cover gasket & seal , 4 new tyres ( according to my tyre Co tyres they are only 1/2 worn & tyres they quoted to fit only cost $102 each , how long would they last?) plus the work I had already asked them to do , total estimate for this work almost $ 4000.
So today I fitted the splitter using the jack supplied with the car , there were no broken clips No front panel damage , job took 1 hr from start to finish all done with a cracked rib , I would say I could have done it in half that time on a hoist. I then removed the plastic cover on the top of the motor to find no oil leak at the cam cover . The next job was the head light washer jet , they had put the correct P/N on the invoice so looked it up on the internet & found 10 of them in Melbourne so that is now on it's way .
It is no wonder we become Grumpy Old Buggers when we have to deal with car dealerships.
Gees that is good to get off my chest. Time to start looking for another Co to service it.

I know it's sort of against the rules but with attitude it's almost time to name and shame! Regards ♨️

I have always received a survey from the vehicle manufacture a few days after the service , I will be doing this survey & letting them know what I think of this dealer. I had problems once before with them , on the morning the vehicle was going for service the battery was flat so used my starter battery pack to start it & told them to fit a new battery while it was there . When I picked it up in the afternoon they informed me they tested the battery & it was OK just needed charging & I must have left a door open Or lights on . !st you can't lock the car if door is not shut & 2nd when you lock the doors the lights go out after a short time. The next morning the same so back to them to be told the same , on 3rd day would not start again so dropped it back to them again , one hr latter I had a call saying the battery was stuffed they had one in stock do I want them to fit a new one . I was told car would be ready in one hour . Two hr's later I rang to make sure it was ready to be told they didn't have one & would be ready at 3pm , they did manage to have it ready at 5pm . Grrrrrrrrrr.

Cuddle and care- Love every second you we and they have

A gent died in front of us today. Man killed by reversing ute at Melbourne shopping centre

Not a bright point for the day! My Doc and staff tried my Defibrillator - They got coved in the poor gents blood and sadly could not help save him. I am having a Beer at present. The beer the 80 year old was carrying when he was killed was smashed and still on the ground a short time ago making it taste a bit sour.

Staff are not coming to work tomorrow- Holding people as they die or in my case recovering is not a event ever forgotten.

Those who know me well know I have almost died a few times and done the recovery bit more often enough to know the people who tried to help are in a rotten place at the moment.

News can be depressing and events can do impact on you. I posted and seriously know Love and appreciate every second we have. Life is precious. I appreciate it. I ran at 20kph for a little bit risking a telling off if a injury I am nursing bites- It didn't. Next marathon is planned already Fund raising for Soldier On who I should hate as a running shirt I brought from them made my nipple bleed- Not nice at 30km with 12 to go- This fits in Grumpy Old buggers I hope
To make it realy grumpy I now no besides the $2500 my Defibrillator cost the battery and pads need immediate replacement costing my tight arse $800 I would be please if it had saved the gent and not at all really grumpy as we tried hard to help.
    Take care

Unfortunately you never know how and when these sorts of things might happen, my friend's neighbour across the road died earlier this week, seems he got new pain pills for his back from the local hospital and mistakenly took a few too many.

My mother changed specialists, who then changed all her medication, and 3 months later that was the end of her

I have a similar issue, and if she had done as i suggested and gone to my specialist,i recon she still would be here.

    Anyway,its all history now.

Meds are tough. I take a single pain killer at times where my wife often seem to takes a "heavy hitter" and still struggles. She is 1/2 my size!

Conversely almost 3 years ago I had a magic green button giving me 20mg of pure Fentanyl every 5 minutes I think. It was a HUGE 200mg supply I saw replaced a lot more than I care to remember. I know thousands of people die from overdoses of Fentanyl with just a fraction of what I took for 5 days. That still spins me out thinking about it.

"Two milligrams of fentanyl can be lethal depending on a person's body size, tolerance and past usage. DEA analysis has found counterfeit pills ranging from . 02 to 5.1 milligrams (more than twice the lethal dose) of fentanyl per tablet"

I took almost a litre of the pure stuff! go figure I was very very pleased to stop!

A mate in Perths mum was a zombie on her meds. A simple change was fantastic for her. "Home Medicine Reviews" are often very good, A very good GP is best! One of the issues we see is people with multiple specialist or even multiple GPs sees people getting meds from multiple sites for multiple reasons some of which conflict. Many Doctors talk and co-ordinate. One reason I think a good GP is not a cheap and free first come first serve ideal solution myself.

RAT positive is bugger plus here. PCR will be inbound soon but almost certain to be MY TURN.

I think 2 panadol will be more than enough for me. Bugger Dry July

Have experienced that a couple of times WTF!

One guy saw my list as requested & promptly removed a couple of the meds. I was feeling OK.

It does get difficult to trust them but when I was taken off them I felt really ratsch.

The previous GP put me back on them again & bob's my uncle. Until the next time that is.

****, at my age I doubt it will make much difference in future, not unless they come out with a Greater Life Expectancy number.

Lucky sod! It is not every day that one can be a Beneficiary of a a few shop soiled stubbies/cans ah la Tarmac.

Serious Q. Excuse my higorance Guvnor, but are all Defibs subject to new Batteries & Pads after use? You must have been giving it some welly recently or have you been using it for personal kicks?

BTW, if the injured party had lived I feel sure you would have been amply rewarded for your efforts.
