i would like to know what people here think can be done to speed up the vaccine rollout?
i hear a lot of finger pointing but no solutions.
if more pfizer vaccines cant be acquired due to production limits, is that the govt fault?

1. Remove the restrictions and Controls on Medicare Item numbers and allow Doctors/nurses/pharmacist to provide it when ever they can
2. Enable FAST TRACK PRODA A.I.R. integration to Doctors Medical software- We send Vaccine information hundreds at a time to the Australian Immunization Registry but seeing that information in GP land is a significant PITA and not practical as it really slow one at a time access which doesn't work when we are doing hundreds or more vaccination at a time. Some beta tests of that is finally occurring
3. Stop the inconsistent changing messages- Some people will die if we all do not get a vaccine- its that Simple- Get one when offered. If not the Delta variation the next or the next one will get to us if not.
4. Remove political bravado and waffle putting the science at front and centre not fear and misconceptions
5. Ensure only vaccinated people are any where near hospitals, Aged care, Airports and accommodation locations which have anything to do with possible Covid exposures. Sack or redeploy vaccine refusers from these vital and exposed roles

Bob, I did say that I was more than happy with no ICU patients and only 40 hospitalised. I'd like to see none in hospital.

What I am trying to say is, is that the hysteria of last year about how lethal this virus was, remember, when the planet's population was going to be wiped out, is not borne out by figures i.e. worldwide 182,000,000 cases and 3,900,000 deaths. Now, I know a lot of deaths would not be recorded but, neither would a lot of cases.
Also, how does the comorbidity data figure in the results?

Why is no up to date advice on the severity of this thing given by the pollies or the health people?

Information is definitely withheld by authorities, as in the case of the big flu scare of several years ago. A major, Qld hospital was on high alert, with extra, specialised treatment areas ready and serious contingency plans. These details were never made public, so as not to panic the sheep. Not saying 'Right or Wrong, just making the point.
