There is no magic solution, going back would fix nothing. Each generation creates it's own stresses and pressures , as well as taking on the baggage of the generations before. The lingering effects of War, the ever increasing use of drugs, dysfunctional families , just a very small example of why. As to prevent virus's , humans can't prevent the common cold. If people believe the UN is there for the good of all, then some deeper digging is required. You cannot be fiercely proud of your own nation, want protection for your nation and it’s economy and people and then lump that under the UN.
Perhaps when humans stop looking for solutions to issues and start solving the problem in the first instances we may just progress.
An example is mental health - we spend millions on drugs, therapies and treatments. Let’s take a BIG step back and look at WHY all these issues exist. Launching forward with no regard to the damage it does and then trying to patch that up is how our system operates.
To prevent viruses is far better than treating them.

If the theory of the UN was actually a reality it would mean the global military forces could be almost zero.
We know that will never happen.
The UN has proven time and time again to be toothless when it comes to the crunch.
The aforementioned POTUS went against their direction on several occasions. Result - Nothing.

Its happened again , sheep ship in Fremantle with sick crew members docked last Friday with reports to the Federal Authorities re crew members with elevated temps etc , Pilot was allowed to board as the Port Authority was not advised of the situation with the crew from I think Border Force or who ever federally , today 6 crew were taken off the ship with Corona virus and placed in isolation with 2 more suspected left on board with the virus . A check will now be made on the Pilot contacts since the event and WA health people will board the ship to inspect and sanitise etc. Just goes to show we are not anywhere near over the threat of this bloody virus . Ship was from Kuwait .
That's concerning, since WA was doing so well.
This is a long way from over. Let's keep the borders closed and see how many more cases there are as NSW and Victoria start to open up without the virus being fully suppressed.

The Pilot may be ok, as standard issue I hear, they are now equipped with the correct safety gear to begin with.
Re U.N. Blue Helmets. I trust they mean the ones for their heads as anywhere else wouldn't be much use.
Don't forget the women they impregnate while stationed in their countries Apparently the U.N. are no help at all.

Hope the Pilots ok. I assume they mask up properly given the risk. Also assume this is going to be a on going issue via ships and planes. Bugger of it all is that while we have been very lucky and fairly responsible to what was needed, many parts of the world cannot or have not.
I see it was Australian Border Force once again, as with the Ruby Princess in Sydney, which gave approval for this ship to dock in Freemantle despite knowing there were sick people on board, which the WA health people were only told about after it had docked.
