Looks like Micky Mouse & Donald Duck are not helping the NSW Q Code Covid venue tracking or what ever they call it .

There are dickheads everywhere. I saw a table full at Clancy’s in Applecross yesterday most of whom thought that they didn’t need to check in, and the one who did used an obviously false name and number.

For a lot of it I blame the third party collection systems. Contact tracers need a first name and a phone number. These systems want so much additional information that they are obviously data mining which only encourages people to give them false details.

Nope not me, Mike. If we were in the good ole US of A we probably wouldn't have any next doors by now. Poor bastards.

Was talking to mate in NSW yesterday. He was due to arrive in Perth boxing day to visit his son, DIL & new baby. Obviously that's not happening now but he mentioned in NSW there are multiple third party check in apps in use. In some cases within minutes of checking in, the marketing parasites are on to you.

Yes, a friends Dad - who I’ve met on many occasions caught it - and died from it - in an aged care home in Melbourne. Couldn’t go to his funeral as there was a limit of 10 at the time. Have been to his grave site since to say farewell.

That gold standard must be made of brass. The virus is in the CBD, and further.

The health minister, Brad Hazzard, also urged businesses to maintain strict record keeping of customers’ details and said NSW’s “diamond standard” contact tracers were encountering false names and phone numbers in contact lists from some venues.
“Now what we are finding is that some of the visitors to various venues still think that it’s funny to be putting in there that you’re Donald Duck, or Mickey Mouse, or a false phone number. That must stop,” he said.
“This is a worldwide Covid pandemic and thinking it’s smart to call yourself Donald Duck, or Mickey Mouse is about as stupid as it gets. So that must cease.”
The chief health officer, Kerry Chant, said that while all of the new cases were linked to the northern beaches cluster, community transmission had occurred outside the area

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I don't think Covid is capable of being Transmitted by Wireless Broadband so we should be safe, Mr Panic Merchant.

Goes for me too - I was working near Circular Quay, had a really bad flu (headache that didn't respond to painkillers, lots of aches and pains) and at least one of the clients I was working with was actually tested for coronavirus (he was negative) but for some reason I wasn't tested, but then it didn't occur to me either at the time. When the penny dropped I tried to get tested but I also didn't meet the crtieria for testing, notwithstanding that (ironically) as I'd been advising my clients on coronavirus I knew by then that my symptoms were consistent with COVID-19.

Also, at the time it was thought that asthmatics like me were a high risk group, given that it was supposedly a respiratory virus, but I barely had a wheeze: as it turns out the experience in the UK is that asthmatics actually do better than the general populace - and NFI why.
