Yes because NSW has the best detection regime in the country - it is circulating at low rates in most states as shown by poo samples but is not being detected otherwise - remember that woman a little while back from Townsville who was detected in Melbourne by their superior detection regime and when they went back and checked in Townsville - found in the Townsville poo water. It took the Victorians to detect that it was in Townsville and Qld did not have a clue until then - and of course the detection went against Vic numbers not Qld numbers.

And looking at their Friday figures, well on the way to topping that again!

And a GOP State governor in the US (can't remember which one) has already refused to comply if the incoming Federal administration looks towards a short term lockdown to get the virus under control.
Even a Supreme Court Justice has addressed the Federalist Society (very conservative movement) and said that whatever has been done already in terms of lockdown is an affront to civil liberties and in his opinion illegal.

A number of years ago the Australian historian Gavin Dawes started to write a book on the experiences of allied POW's in WW2 under the Japanese, with a focus on the US experience as they were held across every Japanese territory.
It ended up as an anthropological study, as he stared to compare all the allies and every nation broke down into 'tribe's' and reacted differently.

It's telling that the US servicemen were the only ones that are known to have committed murder of their own men amongst the POW's, and that if men gambled rations and went without no one helped them, that was just too bad and some starved to death.
It's a fascinating read.

I read one story which said the Covid pandemic numbers were rising fastest in the US states which voted for Trump. So, being unkind, Trump supporters seem determined to get sick and maybe die. Actions have consequences. Darwinism at work?

At a guess at least 70 million people are suffering it looking at voting figures.
