Never let the truth get in the way of a good headline

"...............................The officer had recently undergone knee surgery and developed deep vein thrombosis as a side effect".

Well done Channel 9, good to see that your presentation is up to its usual (lack of) standard.

The story is being carried by every outlet - I heard it on the ABC first and this wasn't mentioned, so it's all news outlets failing to let the truth get in the way of a good story. It shows up in the Guardian, 7, ABC, Courier Mail, Daily Telegraph, News.com, Brisbane News, Sky News etc etc - the list goes on.

I posted the link to the 9 article as that one was on top is all...

Risks occur and come from left of centre at times. Mentioned before about the BIG guys falling like sacks of spuds while getting pre deployment mass vaccinations with me in 1986. The side effects for one of the Medics giving not getting a vaccine was a 6ft plus mate of mine falling on top of him as he fainted A bloody nose and a few other bits had me and my brew cup watching in stitches. No cameras allowed happily.

Serious Q. Can understand folk going arse over at the sight of Blood, but why a simple needle? Do they think they are going to be pinned to the door with a 20' needle or what?

No Bull****, but needles have never worried me like that but I did get a bit excited when the Media kept showing footage of folk "getting the jab" & in many cases the needle looked to be about 30cm long but of course it wasn't, it just looked it. Seems deffo Psychological, or is it?

Any replies on a page of dunny Paper.

    From the New York Times;

From Cambodia is the story of 4 Chinese who bribed a guard to let them out of mandatory quarantine, in a luxury hotel in Phnom Penh. Two of the 4 were found to be infected. Since Feb . 20, there has been 6,500 people infected , and 45 dead. The WHO has said this could spiral into a " national emergency " , given the country's poor health services. Phnom Penh has gone into 2 week lock down, in an attempt to slow down the infections.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Saw a sticker on the back window of a 4x4 at the Co-op today, " Definitely no toilet paper locked in this vehicle " .

It used to be "No Cash kept on these premises," now dunny paper seems more valuable than Cash, especially if it is Gold Plated.

But let us all hope those crazy days have gone for keeps.

Eevo that still doesn't explain why needles. FFS it isn't a 14" SMLE Bayonet.

Maybe they have been listening to Corporal Wilson a little too much when he insists "They don't like it up 'em."but then his bayonet of the time would have been a longer one at 17" / !8" No wonder the Fuzzy Wuzzys didn't like it up 'em, who would?

Sorry Sir. I love my bikes and even admit to feeling sexy as a MAMAL Just kidding on that last bit. Bikes and Covid are related oddly. Every person I call to offer a Covid Vax that politely tells me their fears and worries over a long time frame when I need to make 20-40 calls to book ten people has me dreaming of running or riding away. I do not as the next person might be taking the offer and I think that helps just a little.

Excuse our little waffle on a serious topic. A lot of very scared and very confused people are very worried and making a serious choice which may Impact on them and all of us. I am about to shoot some ships in a waste of time I don't have in World of Warships. A thread on that I promise not to start.

Back on topic please. A few miss fires had me chatting with several people who had a Covid Vaccine, Really pleased to share a little fact it seem is never reported as is is boring perhaps?

Each and everyone who had a Covid19 AstraZeneca vaccine made in Broadmeadows by CSL said they had 0 zero zilch side-effects. I do know one person who is Doctor who had 3 days of flu like symptoms - it can happen. The bad new makes news. BOT hunting for me From Bikes to pesky little Destroyers- Offtopic is needed at times to not stress on the risk we some times put ourselves.
