CARPET! YOU HAD CARPET? OMFG! I had to crawl across rough sawn floor boards fixed down with Horseshoe nails to get to the Crystal Set to try & hear Marconi & then only after I had walked 30 miles each way to get the nails from the village Blacksmith

...and it was uphill both ways!
Crystal set? We had to make do with baked bean tins and string - and we had to scrounge empty baked bean tins from the garbage bin too!

I took my 7 year old daughter to the office today for "Take your kids to work day".
As we walked around the office she started crying, so I asked her what was wrong.
As all my colleagues gathered around, she sobbed, "But Daddy, where are all the clowns you said you worked with?".
