But it's important for event organising committees to listen to constructive criticism ( no matter where it comes from ) rather than getting defensive about it.
    G'day Wayne,

Didn't mean to be defensive... just a bit crapped off by what appeared to be a lot of negativity.. (Probably just too tired)

Rest assured all the constructive comments made here and other forums will be listened to and considered .... after all - we are much more likely to be successful if we deliver what most people want.. ( It's also easier than thinking up new ideas yourself)

    Anyway Wandin 2007 is history....

This area was for LROCV volunteers to rest and revive (it was sorely needed on the day) after their spell volunteering on the Enterance Gate, Demo Arena, Club tent, Adventure Circuit, Information Booth or any of the other areas that utilise the 150-200 Club volunteers.

The actual LROCV Club tent (next to the "Snake Man's" tent) was manned by 4-5 members who I saw talking to a slow but steady stream of interested people .... I think their was only a few seats in it.

why couldn't they just point them in the right direction
its not that hard even if they are hot and bothered

I didn't think this would end up being a slag fest against the LRCOV.

As I said before I understand what it is like to organise such events but not on that scale but after 27 years and even with wholesale changes to vollenteers there should stil be at least guidlines that should be followed.

A couple of people I know had stands and were happy with the results of the show and the newbie I took thought it was pretty good but Ive been a few times before and if I wasn't there he would have had no idea that he could catch a bus down to the track as with us the first year we went.

As for LRCOV members being rude, well I would say not very aproachable but not overly rude to me and as such I wouldn't bother joining their club as im naturaly friendly and no one seems to have to much trouble striking up a convo with me but when I didn't get a program at the gate I went to their tent near the snake man and asked for one and they couldn't help me and failing walking back to the gate that granted isn't far I gave up but there was no sorry mate or you can get one at the gate just a quick and blunt cant help you I dont have any.

Again he may have been overly hot and I wasn't offended but it is interesting to hear that there were quite a few people who had similar experiences.

Some of the vendors need an attitude check as well, 1 of the suspention suppliers were far less than helpful when I had a question about some hilux suspention with about 6 people sitting around talking it felt like we'd walked into their lounge room and interupted them.

This is all intended to be constructive as I did enjoy the show and so did my mate and If anyone has anything to say do what I tell my commitee members at the golf course to do and put some good in with the bad to soften the blow.

No one likes to be told what to do when it's their baby but sometimes a little critisism can be excepted as moving forward.

By the way Ray, I PM'd you my Mobi number and you didn't call so you didn't get to meet me Doesn't matter maybe next time.
