Got Creative with angle Grinder , ScorpionFlares Finally done.

I ordered the Scorpion Flares a while back and been sitting in the Garage , been meaning to put them on for a while , I Finally got around to it, you don't wanna know how much of the panels had to be removed

.........alright Matt ( rovercare ) you asked for Pics , here they are

The back ones don't line up properly , had to be use the misus's haridryer and even then they still don't sit properly, but I will fix them , still needs a lot of finishing Touches , the Rubber strip has to go on yet ..

    Edit ...

The Side Strips were taken off , they are going to get replaced with aluminum checker plate , cut and fitted by yours truely.

It's a good thing I'm not charging by the hour .....

    Nice! Well done.

How much came out of the guards, and how did you deal with the insides of the rear doors?
    Cheers

The scorpion flares are better than LRA as they don;t break, my mate proved that after smashing his rear door into a tree and the flare didn;t break

I've neber had to fill the gaps as I've only fitted LRA flares, which have a moulded inner, BUT looking at that and ones I;ve seen, I'd get some aluminium, bend it up to fill most of the void and sikaflex it in

If its any help, thats how I did mine. Except I tabbed the door and folded the tabs back onto some aluminium angle that was rivetted to the inside of the gap.

Yeah sorry. They are small for loading times and I was too lazy to make each pic link to a full size.

The pics are all available in the gallery and can be clicked on for a larger 640x480 image. Sorry.
