Mine is back and working well-ECU error log apparently recorded low fuel pressure which stumped the service guys. My D3 TDV6 had done just under 22,000kms so hard to imagine that being an issue. I drove it today for 180kms with 1600kg camper on back and no problems at all. Hopefully it stays that way!

My '08 TDV6 has been at the dealer for a week now with the same "engine system fault, park brake & transmission fault, Park Brake and air suspension fault". On the last day it did it 5 times on the way there. You would think that LR would have a world wide data base of problem solving, surely we aren't the only ones looking for a solution.

Good to here. I assume the dealer was southern cross land rover. I have found them to be excellent and if they have any issues they will email the UK to get advice.

Sounds like you have the Black D3 i was going to buy a few years back if you bought it from toowoomba.

Yep, the dealer was Southern Cross. They have been mostly good I guess I would say. Remember they said that it was fixed 2 weeks and $500 before, but all good now.

I actually bought it on the Gold Coast, so probably not the one you are thinking of.

Agree with the "yep she is fixed" only to break down a few weeks later. Never a good feeling

    Thumbs down

Well, I spoke too soon yet again. Stopped again this morning with all the same faults. SWMBO is waiting for the tow truck. Just lucky it didn't happen towing the horse float up the range last weekend. Grrr.

How frustrating!! I guess it wasn't that chafed wire afterall. We are off to Flinders Ranges next week towing Offroad camper so hoping that mine behaves!

    The fault comes back!

It's been a little over a month now and all was going well until...

Went into the forest for a drive (maybe that was the mistake!), came out of a track, back into high range cruising along and the car starts to beep.

Look at the dask and the fault reads "Transmission Fault. Limited gears available" the suspension also lowers to access height.

turn off engine for a few minutes and she is back to what appears normal.

20kms and 1 hour later, i'm on a hill climb in low range, 3rd gear, off road height mode, looking for 2nd and it goes to 4th. I notice the beeping and the error comes up again! "Transmission Fault. Limited gears available", the car doesnt drop this time. I settle for 3rd gear and eventually make it to the top. switch off the engine and wait.

no more errors for the day.

Booked the car into LR again, let's see what happens.

Typically LR couldn't get my car to do it again during the week that they had it and hasn't done it since. Surely someone has found a solution somewhere.

May be time to move on to a Defer.

    Anyone want to swap?

Now this might be a long shot but when i first got my car I got underneath and wiggled the electrical plug on the bottom of the transmission or transfer case, can't remember which now but I got the transmission fault as soon as the car was started. It did go away after a restart but could that connector on your vehicle be making a bad contact. It would cop a hiding from mud, water etc
