There’s a lot to be said about cctv systems. We just installed a Swann 8 camera UHD that covers both cars and the camper trailer

Means nothing, its just a revolving door as well.
Instead of being back in a day or so,it will be a week or so,back with their mates,at it again.
The whole Youth Justice system in Qld,maybe the same in SA,needs a huge overhaul.
Saw a report from a copper in Townsville not long ago,45 vehicles stolen in 48 hours. The public is half the issue as well, must be a lot of car keys just lying around.
Dropped my D4 off to get hail damage repaired.
Now driving a Nissan Pathfinder... at least they didn't give me a Toyota!

Received replacement front struts, went to remove wheel & would not budge.
No amount of rubber mallet from behind, moving steering wheel with vehicle weight on it, or even dropping vehicle off jack would make it move a nano.
Lots of kicking & teaching the neighbors new words.
Will be dropping in to pick up some crc / wd40 / rp7 or anything i can find in an attempt to free it up....

New shoes today, after much deliberation and research (especially here) I went for 255/60 R18 Pirelli AT-Plus. The D697's are confined to history, the first and immediately noticeable thing was a significant improvement to small bump harshness. I know the D697's are LT and the AT+ are not and comparing new tyres with old is a can of worms, but, I certainly appreciate the improved ride. The only real complaint I have with the D697's was wet road performance, a couple of brown eye wink moments, but to be fair I have no idea how another tyre/brand would have handled the conditions at that exact point in time, but in the end I lost confidence in them so their fate was sealed. Too early for much else, in 3 weeks I will be back from a trip north in SA so I will add some comments then.
The other new thing is some rear drawers20200527_145137.jpg (defying gravity it seems). third row out -36kg, drawers in +46.7kg so about 11kg increase. Nicely made (overall) aluminium Australian drawer system, a few install issues but the company is excellent to deal with, responsive and helpful. I am in the process of building an electric spare wheel winder, for no other reason other than for the fun of it and being handy if I have to get the spare out, won't get finished until after afore mentioned trip but I will update this as well. Here is the adapter in it's early stages. The black bush is split, goes through the eye in the winder and has opposed tapered grub screws to lock it in place. 20200524_124733.jpg (At least you can't tell it's upside down)20200523_153005.jpg
This prompted me to start looking at vehicle mass and all sorts of associated horror stories of questions that should not be asked about things that should remain invisible.
I will or have started another thread on the sobering investigation into mass.

Re GVM etc..check out John Cadogan's vids re the y62 and 200s GVM issues..you will be shocked at how little you can carry in these huge trucks esp if you tow a van eg 3.5 t..leaves only a couple hundred kegs to carry🤤
No wonder there's a massive after market industry to up grade GVM GCM etc..often with no axle or chassis strengthening too😞
