Last week, the day before we were due to be driving from Sydney up to Ballina, the rear brake pads started squealing a bit more than I’d like and on investigation they were a bit low so I decided to replace them. I was busy at work and nearest (and of course most expensive) option was to pick up genuine pads.
All very routine until I tried to connect the new wear sensor. Just would not slip in nicely for me and is a bit hard to see where it sits behind the airbag. Finally I used a fine tip to scrape some dirt out of it, followed by contact cleaner and a blow with compressed air and it slipped in cleanly. Wasted a bit of time on that little foible.
