At 232000km had a mild tune and EGR ‘adjusted’. As I do only country kilometres the engine will be a lot better re fuel economy and performance. Time will tell,

Before putting it back in i fitted the spare compressor that i got off a forum member that was partially rebuilt , will see how it goes over the next week and will leave it in if no issues. I pulled it apart first and changed the dessicant and some felt filters and gave the drier a clean out as the perforated metal end plate was mostly blocked and a little rusty.

I dont see an aluminium cap for the desiccant chamber on that table of parts - it is wise to replace to plastic the original plastic one with an aluminium one as the plastic one develop hair line cracks between the pipes and leak causing a C1A20 fault code.

Removed one of the 3rd row seat’s cover, cushion and carpet from the back today to sort out an accidental spill the previous owner had.

Seems a bottle of soy sauce had leaked and soaked into the carpet and even though I had cleaned it up when I first bought the car, recently I had a heavy load in the back and noticed the soy sauce come back up to the carpet surface.

So decided to remove the seat cover and carpet off the back to clean up properly.

An afternoon with a carpet cleaner and it has come up good. Amazingly the leather is totally unaffected even though the foam backing on the cover had absorbed the soy sauce.

Interestingly the seats were actually made in Brazil.
