Sorry to hear it Tombie! Having done the same with my middle finger lining up the bucket on my FEL and putting my finger where it didn't belong. No plastic surgeon for me just stitched up the stump it was easier. Good luck, Nick

Purchased a gun safe.
Had it on the sack truck laying on left side.
Wheeling it out the house on sack truck and the door unlatched, swung open, crushing my finger and severing just up from first knuckle.

Wrapped in tea towel and drove to hospital with Mrs Tombie.

Sitting here waiting for RFDS to land some time soon, then off to Adelaide for surgery.

A rather extreme method to reduce the operating weight of your vehicle! All the best for the recovery mate and I certainly hope there's no lasting functionality issues with the hand and thumb.

Unbelievable! The exact same thing happened to me after I had the gunsafe door reinforced. Was manoeuvring it back into position and just as I thought better be careful, the door might swing open, the door swung open and jammed my ring finger right on the fingernail. Geez, I was dark on myself. But only lost the fingernail. Certainly not crushed like yours and nobody flew me anywhere.
