Went back to Strut Specialists Osborne Park to have my struts receive another 50nm of lift thanks to winter and the ladder load. Back to opening fully without assistance and without unnecessary effort to close. Spot on.

And for free! Love their customer service.

    7 year service

Today at 7 years ~124k had quite a few things nicely dealt with by Roving Mechanical
    * 'A' service - the usual engine oil, filter, air filter...
    * fluids in both diffs and transfer case
    * coolant reservoir (sensor went 'wonky' when coolant was replaced)
    * coolant outlet (preventative)
    * transmission pan/filter and fluid replacement

I left the belts (and the associated cost) for the next service.

After I had a partial flush of the transmission at ~75k I couldn't really discern any difference but this time it does definitely feel smoother.

Did my first self service oil and filter change on the D4.
All straight forward except my suction pump is slow and likely leaking.
Can see oil on the power steering pipe and the reservoir is low, will monitor.
Also cleaned the MAF sensors... and lost one of the screws into the depths of the engine bay!!

Not today but the other day.....Went to move car to continue solar panel to roof install and park brake fault came up and wouldn't release. So, turned it off and sat for a bit and started again, all good, brake released. So, job changed for solar panel to adjust EPB.

Adjusted and back to nice short take up and functioning fine since.

Just had 14000km service (2011 TDV6) done. Clean bill of health. Next service will have a few extras done.

Had new struts fitted and new LCA bushes. My mechanic invested in a tool for swapping the bushes out.

They did a wheel alignment afterwards but it's not quite right with a bit of a pull to the left, which they're happy to fix next week. Suspension feels nice. Less bobby.

Added phone control buttons to the steering wheel.

Thought I'd be smart so while I was there I also added the adaptive cruise buttons from an L320 thinking I could program them for something else using the SWC on the Carplay module. What I failed to notice was the left and right sides of the wheel go to different modules, so the adaptive buttons aren't seen by the audio head unit. Oh well, next time I pull the airbag out I'll swap the original cruise button module back in.

In the mean time I can pretend they are rocket launch buttons to help "calm the rage" when cut off by some nutter on the freeway.
