The 3.0 are not prone to turbo failures, I'm lucky if I replace one a year.
Engine oil cooler failures and inlet manifold failures are just about a given.

As other have suggested, a first model D4 2.7 seem to be about the most reliable (if thats a term that can be used on a Land Rover)

Whats wrong with a Defender (classic) or a Perentie or are you too soft?
    Regards

Can buy 2 x D3's for the asking price of a defender and perentie the same price as a D4 but without any comfort.

Was that a statement of fact or was there another point?
I dont get it, who would own 2 D3s or a D4 over a Defender (classic) or a Perentie?

You clearly dont have Defender disease like the rest of us good folk.

    Regards

I would like a perentie as a weekend camping vehicle or 110HCPU with either a TDV6 or TDV8 conversion.

    Is it treatable?

I think I might have it and people around me seem to be getting concerned.

Different strain with larger symptoms. Most of the OKA owners I speak to have been or still are LR owners.
