BR - I confess I was baiting you

And if you think millennials will buy a LR2020 you need to look again at your statistics! At 90-100 gorillas this thing is squarely aimed at cashed up GenY GenX.

Geez mate - I do believe you when you say your not on the JLR payroll but you work fecking harder than any social media influencer or other type of influencer than JLR do actually pay! Of course it won’t have a manual transmission - it’s made for people who don’t know what a gearbox is? Carton says the auto gearbag is “sealed for life” 🤦*♂️

I’ve stated my personal case - 1000km range, carry over a tonne in a tray, dual cab Ute.
Until LR2020 does that it is just another hairdresser SUV that I personally put in the same basket as prados, jeeps and hiluxes even...

Keep drinking the koolaid it ain’t no defender. Hell part of me thinks the 110 is a lesser defender than a 130 call me whatever you want but JLR have jumped the shark on this one.

Re sleeping on the floor, it's good if the head is higher, it reduces snoring. You can get special triangular pillows to lift the heads of snorers.

Rear end on first 3 pics more exposed than usual.

    Some crazy sensors ontop

Any possibility of split tailgate? Or is that unlikely from these pics?

Unlikely looking at the pics - doesn’t seem to be any handle for that anywhere and how would it work with the rear mounted tyre shown in the last pic? A one piece door seems more likely.

    Love the leak!!!

Maybe I need to put a speccy order in!!!

Split tailgate would have made sense if they were stealing the Series name but since they are abominatinating the defender name it should be a swinger

Nice "bait" but if true I don't think that kind of thing is looked upon favourably here so be careful Won’t be retro.... I think you believed what you wrote there all the same didn't you Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro....

65k start is reportedly tipped for 110, could be less for 90, could be even less for future models with less body/seats.

Jump online on social media and look at the age of lots 79series buyers, they are well and truly above that price range you talk about after the 40k spent on mods trying to keep up with Landies.

Any millennial with a decent job could get one especially if married.

    $100k is not $100k 10 or 20 years ago.

    10 years ago $100k was $80k

    20 years ago $100k was $60k

10 years from now 100k will most likely be 120k

Inflation catches up with us all, if we have been around for a while we need to update our pricing reality every 5-10years.

Not working at all mate, this is fun, passes the time waiting for the new defender inbetween working, and learning alot from others in the process.

Appreciate the kind words re working hard, but honestly if you know how to Google and even let Google Google for you Won’t be retro..., screenshot and type by voice it doesn't take long at all. All in good fun. I come and go on this forum, last time i was here this long and with this effort was figuring out the strongest rear axle/diff you can squeeze into a LR. And its not ashcroft Won’t be retro....

D5 pretty much matches your requirements 1000km highway range and 950kg payload in 5 seat version. 5star safety and comfort, just ute one and your set Won’t be retro...Won’t be retro.... All jokes aside, i think you will get what your after, but have a feeling it won't be at launch.

This guy is a photographer that does work for JLR and others and works very very hard, taking pictures all over the world, infact most official pics of the defender come from him from what i have seen from his comments online on his page. Looks like he is on the 110 brigade too.
