Jumped into my Defender and broke the bead on a 14.9 x 38 tractor tyre off my Massey Ferguson 165. I did this by laying the wheel down and running the Land Rover wheel just against the rim and then it needed the other side pressing off,and that was all done with smoke and mirrors ------ lumps of wood, 4x2 levers and lots of cunning moves so that I didn't strain my back.
The tyre off the MF165 had a casing repair gone wrong, it needed cleaning out with fresh glue worked into the crack and a new slipper inside the casing, the tube had abraded through so that was patched as well.
Ran out of daylight last night, so the job of fitting the valve stem back through the valve stem hole in the rim will be done today.
More smoke and mirrors required, then I should have the wheel back on the Fergie by lunch time today.![]()

) its behaving perfectly now..
