    Kev,

    It may be that the centre differential pinion(Side) gear/s and/or a cross shaft has broken, this will give NO drive, but may slightly load up one of the outputs, IE front shaft, slightly while the remaining bits are partially engaged. I would drop the bottom cover and see what comes out...


    I can help with spares for this if you like, I have quite a few in bits if you need a donation to the LT230 fund!

    pity your so far away Ida laid on the labour for ya.. still if you can get the tcase off and get it up this way and justinc can lay on the needed parts (assuming its the tcase)

    Im happy to go the yards on it for ya

    G'day Folks

    Into 1st. and let out the Clutch BANG clutch centre rivets let go, slight load on T/shaft as clutch tries to operate. have you had any clutch noises, or shudder or jerkiness ??

    UncleHo no clutch noise but i do remember 1 small shudder the other day but i thought it was just me been lazy...

    I'm about to take the pto cover off and have a squiz inside the transfer case..

    What still has me stumped is how easy i can select gears while car isnt running and with no clutch,normally i would have to jump in and press the clutch to get any gear!

    I suspect the clutch has failed as well. I have seen it before and it is documented elswhere on the site. Fine one minute, no drive the next. The entire friction disc had fallen apart.

    When i was looking around the one i have now was the only one i could find in Vic but there was a few around QLD.
    I lucked out cause i had to have a 2dr and it had to be green!!!
    At the time the were a lot of red and blue ones for sale up north and they were fetching a fair price
