Just went out and had another play around with it trying all sorts of different things and still nothing...
Something i did notice was i can easily shift gears on the box without using the clutch,i can even grab reverse with no clutch
Select 1st high CDL locked and take off normal if no motion listen for any noises from box if you can hear the shafts turning it may have a loose selector for the high low and not selecting proper get under and have a look and see if its selecting wile a helper shifts it for you if its selecting right and still no motion remove the pto cover on the Tcase and see if you have drive at the output of the box you may have striped your output shaft if thats all fine it may be a broken CDL

jumped into tcase nuetral
Clutch let go
main gearbox input shaft let go
output shaft let go
tcase center gear let go
center diff let go
all these stop all drive under all circumstances
low/high engagement dogs sheared
that stops drive in one range only
busted propshaft
busted diff
busted halfshaft
busted CV
busted stub axle
busted Drive splines
will stop drive until you engage the CDL and will be obvious by the propshaft hanging down or by the shaft spinning while its not moving but you have it in gear.
not too hard to fix all of those except the clutch and the gearbox ones.

Just got the missus to jump in the driver seat with the engine running and put it in gear while i climbed underneath....As she slowly let the clutch out i noticed the front prop shaft load up...
It was then i could here a ever so slight rumbling coming from the transfer case.....To the untrained ear it sounds like a stripped gear??
try high and low range you may have done the.
next stop is to remove the PTO plate and eyeball whats going on in there.

Yep tomorrow i'll whip the pto cover off and take a bo peep...
What should i be looking out for or will it be that obvious?
You want the spline and gear to look like this.
As opposed to this.
The good pics are mine. The bad one is from here.
bugger.....reconditioned gearbox needs to be fitted
it'll be obvious the main gear you will be able to see will either turn when the engine is cranked over with the gearbox in gear (disable the fuel solenoid then with it in gear parkbrake on + biiiig chocks) on the startermotor
you can also drop the oil out and then drop the bottom plate off
Its a flip of the dice as to which you want to take off.
pulling the PTO cover off lets you get away without draining the oil and you can see if the power is even getting out of the box or if its an input gear failing. The bottom plate will let you see what gear is damaged in the tcase.
Id do the pto cover first but then I have an endoscope at work that can be threaded past the gear so you can see the next run down.
