Dougal I must admit Perentie turbo project I did sort of shorten the bend that was in the probe.....it was stupid but I didn't put the probe in until after the manifold and turbo was in. Big mistake I had to bend a shorter bend into the probe because it hit the side of the engine on the way in and I didn't want to have to pull everything off again. So it's very possibly a little short

I can answer that one. I drove mine to the exhaust shop without an exhaust and still saw 500*C EGT around town accelerating up to 60km/h.

My EGT sensor is post turbo in the top of the dump pipe. It sits at about 180 C at idle after a drive and about 370 C on the HW. A moderate hill sends it to about 470 - 500 C. I ease off from that point. That was all before I allowed the wastegate to start bypassing at about 16psi. I just got the auber ins gauge reading 0 psi at idle.

I think I have a kinked boost hose, it's not showing more than 14 psi. Even after I turned out the fuel screw another whole turn, I'm upto two turns. Ive hit 500 on the egt (I undid it and got the probe further up around 0.5cm), pulling very hard, clutch doesn't keep up, intercooler nice and slightly warm even after a run

500 is still not very high if your EGT is accurate. I sit on about 500 cruising at 100 km/h on a flat road.

I can't remember, did you ever install an intercooler?

I've turned out the fuel screw nearly all the way out and I can't get anymore then 13psi on the gauge, ive hit 540degrees on the egt at 120kmh. I can hear what I think is a leak at above 8psi, ive checked all my hoses and connections. No leaks all my clamps are tight. I trip the air filter indicator, so I disconnected the filter entirely to see if this was starving the turbo, didn't make any difference (sounded nice though) only thing I can think of is a leak between the intake manifold and the engine. Either that or my boost gauge is stuffed. It doesn't feel like it's pulling much harder than after the initial first few turns of the fuel screw when first hit 12psi .....Any ideas guys?
